An existing customer of ours approached us looking for an Form-Fill-Seal bagging and palletizing solution for sand-like products. The challenge this customer was looking to overcome was finding an Form-Fill-Seal machine that can fill these sand-like products that have varying product densities.
The Solution
After meeting with the customer on-site to understand their current process, we sent the customer’s products being packaged to the Haver Institute for an in-depth product analysis. After conducting all the product testing, it was decided our solution was a configuration featuring our INTEGRA ADAMS 1 Form-Fill-Seal Bagging and AMICUS PAL Robotic Palletizer powered by FANUC. For this INTEGRA ADAMS 1, we also provided a custom hopper, check weigher, and bag flattener providing an end result of a perfect brick-shaped bag. For the palletizing portion of the project, we provided our AMICUS PAL equipped with our Gripper End of Arm Tool. This robotic palletizer is also equipped with a Fork-Type Pallet Dispenser, and Slip-Sheet Dispenser leading to a clean and perfect pallet every time. Additionally, upon customer request to further enhance the safety features of the AMICUS PAL, we added additional light curtains and fencing to the pallet outfeed area.
